The story behind Taste of Gujarat begins in the kitchen of Tarlika, a lifelong vegetarian who never tastes her own food but somehow gets it perfect every time. Taught to cook at just fifteen years old by her sister-in-law, her instincts were so precise that even without trying the dishes, she could master flavors with smell, texture, and technique alone.

At her side is Nilam, her niece and culinary partner, who stepped into the family kitchen in the sixth grade and never left. With a background in catering and a lifelong love for cooking, Nilam's vision is to share the family's recipes with the Las Vegas community, not just to feed, but to create a connection through food. 

Together, aunt and niece built a concept that honors their Gujarati roots while opening the door to the wider world of Indian cuisine, where vegetarian specialties, non-vegetarian classics, and heritage desserts come together in a way that feels nostalgic yet elevated.
